Forum "The Derivatives Market in Russia - 2011: commodity and financial assets"

On the 19th of April in Moscow was held a forum on the topic "The Derivatives Market in Russia - 2011: commodity and financial assets." The Executive Director of UEEX Kucherenko Igor actively participated in the forum. The event was organized by professional journal "The Securities Market", and an official partner - Saint-Petersburg International Commodity Exchange. The forum was divided into several parts. The opening plenary session on the topic "Derivatives Market in Russia: what it is and how should it be?" has started firstly, in which general questions of the exchange market in Russia were touched, as well as state regulation of exchange trading. Later forum participants continued to work in three special sessions, one of which was devoted to a separate derivatives electricity market. The Section Moderator, Sergei Trofimenko, General Director of OJSC "Moscow Power Exchange" and other speakers reviewed the most topical issues of development of the electricity derivatives market in Russia. Positive experience and perspectives of the Russian electricity market must be taken into account when forming a derivative electricity market of Ukraine.
