Derivatives market

September 3d, 2010 delegation of Ukrainian energy exchanges visited the conference "Financial derivatives in electricity markets: international experience and the Russian peculiarities" which took place in Moscow and was organized by NP Совет рынка, together with "Московская энергетическая биржа" and Open Society RTS. The new futures market "Московская энергетическая биржа" great interest for this. Participation in the conference were more than 150 people - representatives of the parties OREM, brokers, and foreign companies. Introduction settlement of futures contracts as hedging instruments, may be of interests for Ukrainian energy companies, when as a result of liberalization, they will have to plan their financial results and feel the need for stability of cash flows. During the conference delegates of Ukrainian energy exchanges met with representatives of the investment bank GP Morgan and other members of foreign delegations.
